How Chiropractic Neurology Works
How Chiropractic Neurology Works
Our Approach to Health
The treatments at the Chiropractic Neurology Center are
different and unique from any other practice. As chiropractors,
we understand the connections between the
human body and the brain and believe that a truly holistic
approach focuses on the connection between motor sensory and
emotional cognitive functions.
- For example, in cases of musculoskeletal pain there are also subsequent changes in cognitive and emotional function. The
approach of the Chiropractic Neurology Center is to find the
area of commonality between these two systems.
- Musculoskeletal pain is often central in nature. A patient's
condition may be related to functional imbalances in
neurologic activity between muscle cells and the interactive
control areas of the central nervous system.
- Nerve cells
(neurons) often behave like muscle cells -- if they are
under-stimulated they become weaker; when actively
stimulated, they become stronger and more responsive.
Knowing this, our doctors develop unique treatment plans to
stimulate and strengthen the under-active areas of neurologic
performance.
This unilateral approach is called a hemispheric approach:
it balances neurologic function AND globally affects the
entire nervous system -- allowing maximum human potential
and a return to a sense of healthy well-being.
